Patricia Mendez, MD
VP Clinical Development
Dr. Patricia Mendez serves as the Vice President of Clinical Development at Boston Pharmaceuticals. With 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, she has contributed to the development and commercialization of innovative therapies in hepatology, gastroenterology, oncology, and infectious diseases.
At Boston Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Mendez plays a key role in advancing the clinical development of BOS-580 for MASH. Previously, she held the position of Vice President of Medical Affairs at Madrigal Pharmaceuticals and was the Head of HBV Cure Programs at Gilead. She also served as Vice President of Clinical Development at Immunocore and Arbutus.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Mendez held progressively senior roles at Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck, and Schering-Plough, where she was involved in all stages of clinical development, from target selection to Phase IV studies. A hepatologist by training, she graduated as a fellow from the University of Miami and has primarily focused on hepatology and infectious diseases, with additional expertise in oncology, COVID, and immunology.
Dr. Mendez’s industry experience also includes leading teams across multiple regions, including emerging markets, where she has assessed business landscapes, managed clinical development, and developed regulatory strategies to advance product portfolios.
